a modular typeface

Digigram, short for digital grandma, is a modular typeface born from the unexpected harmony between your grandma’s needlepoint and the techno-retro-futurism aesthetic on some DJ’s poster. Drawing on bracket-like forms made with a felt calligraphy pen, Digigram was then vectorized in Illustrator, becoming the heavily gridded, futuristic typeface you see on this display.
Digigram is intended to be used as a display font and would shine best on a techno, punk, avant-garde poster or on your relative’s bible verse needlepoint pillow.
